Why I Built This Publication

I have a confession: I love learning. Not in the casual, scroll-Twitter-for-tips sense — but the deep, immersive kind where you emerge hours later having fallen down a rabbit hole you didn't even know existed.
And here's what I've realised: real learning doesn't happen in isolation. It happens when you teach, when you write, when you introspect. The act of structuring a thought well enough to explain it to someone else is where understanding crystallises.
This publication is that act, made permanent.
Learning by Teaching
Every book I've read — from The Pragmatic Programmer to Clean Code, from Designing Data-Intensive Applications to Alex Kondov's excellent Tao of React & Node (alexkondov.com), from Design Patterns to LLM Design Patterns — has taught me that the authors didn't just write because they knew things. They wrote because writing forced them to know things — to connect dots, to challenge assumptions, to fill gaps in their own understanding.
I want that.
This space is my forcing function. A place to research, to write, and to share — not because the world needs another blog, but because I need the structure and accountability that comes with publishing.
What You'll Find Here
I don't believe in boxing myself into a single niche. My curiosity spans across:
- Software engineering — architecture, design patterns, coding practices
- AI & Data — machine learning, LLMs, data engineering
- Cybersecurity — threat modelling, zero trust, secure design
- DevOps & Cloud — infrastructure, CI/CD, platform engineering
- Design — UX/UI, design systems, product thinking
And I'll experiment with formats too — long-form articles, shorter blog posts, white papers, research, even audio and video when the medium fits the message.
For Whom
Honestly? Anyone. Whether you're a fellow engineer, a tech leader, a client, or just someone curious about how things work — if you find something here that clicks, that's enough.
The Real Goal
No set schedule. No content calendar. No pressure to chase algorithms.
Just a commitment: to learn deeply, share honestly, and introspect often. If that resonates, stick around.
Inspired by every author who took the time to write down what they learned — thank you.
Built with Next.js, OpenCode, MDX, and a lot of curiosity.
